Section 01
General Abstract Guidelines
All registrants submitting papers for oral or e-poster presentation
must provide an undertaking confirming compliance with these guidelines.
- A presenting author may present only one paper as the main author in each presentation category.
- The submitted paper must not repeat work presented by the author at a previous AFFAS.
- The work must not have been presented by a co-author at a previous AFFAS or submitted separately for consideration at the current AFFAS.
- Only electronically submitted abstracts will be accepted.
- Abstracts must be written in English.
- An abstract may be submitted without registration; however, registration is mandatory for presentation.
- Do not insert the abstract title, author names or institutions in the Content field.
- Do not use all upper-case letters when entering the abstract.
- No graphs, tables, photographs, references or slide presentations are accepted within the abstract.
- The title should be concise, reflective of the content and written in title case.
Authors
List all authors with full names and affiliations, and clearly designate the presenting author.
Contact Information
Provide the corresponding author’s email address, phone number and other required contact details.
Section 02
Abstract Structure
Divide the abstract into four clearly identified sections: Purpose,
Methodology, Results and Conclusions.

Purpose
- State the primary objective or research question.
- Provide context for the research problem or knowledge gap.
- Briefly explain the significance or potential impact.

Methodology
- Describe the research design, methods and techniques.
- Specify the population or sample and data collection process.
- Mention analytical methods and innovative approaches.
03
Results
- Present the study’s key findings and outcomes.
- Use quantitative data where applicable.
- Report important trends, observations and statistical significance.

Conclusions
- Summarise the implications of the findings.
- Explain the contribution to current knowledge.
- Mention limitations, future research and broader applications.

Section 03
Submission Checklist
The abstract is written in English and does not exceed 250 words.
The title is concise, relevant and written in title case.
All authors and affiliations are listed, with the presenting author identified.
Author names, institutions and title are not repeated in the Content field.
No graphs, tables, photographs, references or slides are included.
The corresponding author’s email address and phone number are correct.
Organising Committee Decision
The AFFAS Organising Committee reserves the right to change the topic or
presentation format (oral/e-poster), or to reject an abstract.
Section 04
Rights to Publish
- By submitting an abstract, the authors grant the Organising Committee the right to publish it electronically.
- After clicking Finish, a confirmation email containing the abstract number will be sent to the email address entered during submission.
- A delegate may submit multiple abstracts, but may present only one oral presentation as the main author.
- The paper must not be a repetition of work presented at any previous AFFAS.
- Submission implies that the presenting author will register for and attend the Congress in Guwahati, India, if the abstract is accepted.
Section 05
Ethical Considerations
Research Involving Human Subjects
Clearly mention whether the research involves human subjects and confirm
adherence to applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements.

Type of Presentation

Oral Presentation
Selected research will be presented live during the scientific programme.
02
E-Poster Presentation
Selected research will be displayed in the prescribed electronic poster format.
